How can you get a horse out of its stall to groom it, if it is absolutely refusing?

I mean like trying to lead it out and it snapping its head away, not even coming out of its stall if you try to tempt it with a treat.
I groom someone else's horses, and she is in Florida. I can't ask anybody except here for help.
I might try that method, I'm pretty sure he isn't violent, he's very ornery, though. I tried something similar to this except I didn't get behind him, he didn't like it.
 
Put on its halter and lead, and calmly try to lead it out of its stall. When it pulls back, keep the pressure on the lead rope and stand in the doorway of the stall, as if you're still walking, facing the direction you want to go with the horse. Give it a few seconds, and when he gives to the pressure, release the pressure and pat him. Give him a couple of seconds to think about it, then try to lead him out again. Repeat the process until he comes out. Then reward him by giving him a lot of praise and some scratches, and put him straight back in his stall. Try again later in the day as well. He's probably learned that if he is brought out of his stall, he has to work. So by changing up the routine, he doesn't know if he's going to get to go back in his stall or go to work. Don't always take him out to work, do some hand-grazing or hand-walking instead, and grooming even if he's not going to be ridden.
 
if you no for a fact that he is not a violent horse, and u trust him just get a long lead rope or lunge line and hook it to the horses halter then walk around the horses butt to where you end up on the other side of the horses face, then pull the lead rope to where it is pushing on the horses butt, untill he comes out

if that dont work have someone hold a lead rope, and you go in with a whip and fling it around but dont hit him with it....simple things like this can work, also once he comes out make sure he gets a treat right when he gets out of the stall so he knows he did good.

Well maybe it's not the horse.. if your scared of him he will react to it horses know what your feeling.. Some horses wont come out because they may have an injury somewhere around its hooves i'd check that out... If you have another horse you can make it come up by persuading him with the other horse... Be tough with him if he still refuses yank on it and show him that your the boss not him.
 
I don't know- assuming that the horse isn't refusing because it is hurt, a halter, lead rope, and dressage or longe whip always worked nicely for me.
