how can you download a DVD to a flash drive ?

you don't download a dvd you copy it you just copy it over to the flash drive unless it is copy protected when the process is a bit more complicated
 
Insert DVD into DVD drive,open the window with contents.
Insert flash drive and ope window with it contents. Make the windows size they can both fit monitor screen.
After this just drag files from DVD window to flash drive window.
