How can you argue against evolution and not know anything about it?

Do you know how evolution works?
Or is it just a word you don't understand and haven't bothered to learn what it means because its wrong either way?

After all, how can you present a valid opinion if you don't understand the concept you are arguing against?
The reason I ask this question is because there have been too many times when people have said "Evolution isn't true" or something of the kind. Yet when I ask them what Darwin's Finches are or about peppered moths and what their significance to evolution is... they don't know.
Athєist's Nightmarє: Even when I was still a Christian I believed in evolution.

I'm not saying all Christians are this way.. I am just asking a question to any person who is this way.
Rollo: Actually no I don't, at least not in a way that I am able to explain with full confidence. But I am the type of person who is curious, and now that you have mentioned something new to me, I will go and learn about it.

I am not really criticizing people that simply don't know things. We all have things we don't know. It's more about the people who don't know things, argue against them, and aren't willing to learn to perhaps get a better understanding.

You can't argue against it either way. You would just look foolish. There are MOUNTAINS of information, with more piling in every day. It's not going to stop.

I'll go in order, starting from the title.

1.) You can't. At least, you won't win.

2.) Yes, I happen to be in college, studying Biology.

The rest of your questions become moot after my second answer.

You really can't. You're right.

However, I know a lot about the fake science, and I therefore can argue against it.

For example:

Why do we use pictures to demonstrate that one species evolved from another, and not DNA matches, the way a forensic scientist would?

(Hint: lack of specimens to test. Lack of specimens = lack of evidence = fake science.)

Fact 1: The vast majority of Christians believe in the Darwin's theory of evolution.

Fact 2: A significant proportion of ignorant atheists think that most of Christians don't believe in in the Darwin's theory of evolution.

Do you understand allele migration? Perhaps you'd like to enlighten us how this works considering that gene flow under all circumstances actually prevents speciation. Can you explain the Hardy–Weinberg principle?

I don't honestly think that 99% of people who purport to believe in evolution understand even an iota of what it is they believe in including you.

How can you present a valid opinion if you don't understand the concept you are arguing for?
