Usually when we check differential diagnosis for leg swelling ..kidney problem comes first to our head...

When we think of kidney problem ...swelling of leg (edema) is always with swelling under eye lids? or leg swelling is always bilateral or it can be unilateral?

well this is about my experience.
I have kidney disease. and I have edema.
all I know is that I have been told by dr, after dr, is mine is cause from sitting too much and excess weight, it I walk more then the fluid in my legs will quit pooling (edema) and work it's way back up. I have been told to keep my feet higher than my heart, and move every 30 mins, and to lose weight.

Maybe you and your PCP should have a talk, if you feel comfortable with that.
