how can we get financial aid for a wheelchair?

I am a 35 yr old woman, since my divorce, my children and I have lived at my mom's. My mother is 61 and on disability for polytheistic kidneys. Recently she has had trouble walking, and she's had x-rays, which showed arthritis in her hip. We don't drive, since we are both on disability..and we cannot afford to get her a wheelchair so she can avoid pain, and still leave the house once in a while. What I would like to know is if anyone knows who we can contact for help getting her a manual wheelchair?
 
The Wheelchair Foundation UK donates wheelchairs out for those who can't afford one so you might want to check their website out and contact them as they might be able to make arrangements for you in form of giving you a wheelchair or giving you money towards one. The link is in the Source Area.
