how can we create update and delete button using php (plzz tell me the code)?

i need to make an update and delete button inorder to make changes in database..using php language..in case of input tag i only know to create submit button..like submit button i need 2 create a delete button so that i can remove the entries from my database by using php as front end..similary update button..i need code for dese two..
