I was walking out from work when i found out someone broke into my car. So i told the manager about it and just told me to make a police report, and thats it. Is there any kind of law or something like that, that will make the restaurant cover my broken window? i live in Georgia (if it helps)

I'm pissed off bc they are acting like nothing happened or its not their problem, but the manager gets ticked off if i park my car closer to the restaurant!!

I am a waiter and i dont feel safe leaving my car all they way in the back of the parking lot where no one can see anything. and it is not like if i can go see if my car hasn't been jacked in the past hour or so
And I dont think its fair that i have to basically work for my stupid broken window... it also happened to 2 other co-workers. but they just wanna go down without a fight... i also heard its happened before but no one wants to fight about it. and its annoying.

legaly the parking lot belongs to the city and is therefore public property. what-ever happens in the parking lot is not the resposabillity of the businesses that use it. -b.s.. i know, but that's how it is.- tecnicly the management can not make you park anywhere, but they can give you crap or find a legit reasion to fire you if you don't do as they ask.

if you can get everyone to get together on insisting on closer parking or security systems, it may work on the grounds the business wont want to risk losing all it's staff at once, but it wont be easy.
