How can south park say shit on tv?

I've noticed that south park blurs out ever curse word but shit... Are other tv shows doing it??? If so or if not when did it become legal??
 
because the governemnt doesnt care about protecting our youth and people find it funnier if they do sear just shows you how corrupt we reallyare :/
 
I don't see a problem with it.
South Park is usually only shown after 10pm on TV so young children aren't (well they shouldn't) be watching it and if they are it's their parents responsibility.
I find South Park funny and i don't find the curse words offencive. They should be taken with humour.
