How can someone believe in a book that was written by a bunch of old, suspicious men...

...that lived hundreds of...? years ago and had no way of showing proof? how can you just put faith in the unknown men that wrote the old testament? and who documented the story of Adam and Eve? Better yet, how could you believe in a book of suspicions and fairy tales but you can't believe in modern science that's been backed up, proven, and has had tons of evidence to prove it?
