...definition of intelligence? is to analyze a situation and to think of the best possible outcome with minimal or no damage at all. I mean SOME religious people ignore scientific advice in favor of their belief and insist atheists are fools claiming that atheists are stupid, however clearly in order to be considered intelligent you need to analyze the situation to prevent maximum damage to you or your property and seeing as though there are SOME people who run around claiming that sin causes disease and completely ignore the Germ Theory of Disease it only surprises me why they think this.





I mean to me intelligence consists of people learning how to think in a different plain. People who simply follow the norm and bow down in fear hoping that they don't go to hell simply doesn't cut it. People who challenge bronze age social norms and consider that maybe the bible was truly in fact written by a bunch of farmers.







There is nothing wrong with believing in religion JUST AS LONG AS YOU USE THE FACTS OF SCIENCE AND THAT YOU DON'T CLAIM THAT EVOLUTION IS FALSE DUE TO YOUR BELIEF THE EARTH WAS CREATED IN SIX DAYS, OR THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GERMS DUE TO YOUR BELIEF THAT SIN CAUSES DISEASE.

Actually a Christian, Francis Bacon, was the one who formulated the scientific method, so you are telling the wrong people about what intelligence means.

Obviously, that guy talking about not believing in the theory of germs was off color, so why use him as an example, unless you are just taking advantage of the moment. Christians have certainly contributed significantly to the study of biology and medicine. Let's just keep it real, even when we are debating.
