How Can Saturday Night TV Possibly Be This Cr*P?

I'm watching that too - I think it's a pretty good film. I suppose if you're not really into political thrillers it wouldn't be your cup of tea. Though Gust is a great character: "I bugged your whisky bottle" :) )
(interesting aside. The guy who plays the CIA directort is also the "Roger" in Mad Men. Last weeks MM saw him playing santa at the chirstmas do ... just before this break, we see him suiting up for the same role in CWW)

You're not THAT surprised are you?? Saturday night TV has always been rubbish. At least these days there are DVRAB.

Or you could read a book!

So tonight there was:

QI XL
The Special Relationship (looking forward to watching that soon)
Charlie Wilson's War - Tom Hanks playing against type, Philip Seymor Hoffman with a great performance. Fascinating true story that has implications for the world even now. Watch it properly.
Match of the Day

If they didn't take your fancy there was Casualty, Comedy RoaRABhow, or a sci-fi film on C4. I'd say there was a decent variety of stuff. Easy enough to avoid the X Factor!

And thats crap?! As I'm working this weekend away from base I'm in a hotel with just the five main terrestrials, plus news channels, Dave and a couple of others. I was pleasantly surprised with what was on.

Or how about looking on the iPlayer or 4OD for something (you know how many archive programmes are on 4OD right?)
