to make sure kids dont dieor are abused? but they still do. Why cant soial workers just admit theyre useless?

Social workers don't live in the homes genius. Parents are responsible for the children's lives. If they can't be held responsible then they shouldn't be having children. Social workers are there to save children from abuse, neglect, etc. They aren't useless.....why don't you read a book about child abuse and grow up.

Parents are ultimately responsible for their children. If there are problems most decent parents will seek help before it's too late. Social workers like all professionals sometimes get it wrong but they have to rely on the general public to inform them of any worries or concerns, involving a child. Sometimes it all goes tragically wrong but at the end of the day the child's trust lies with their parents and if they betray them, the child is left at the mercy of someone who gives a dam..

Hey Tony, you are not being very discreet with this question, your English is better than this!

To answer your question, it is difficult for social services to monitor all situations when the parents themselves will not, or afraid to admit that abuse is taking place.

In the majority of cases excuses are made by one parent or another to cover abuse.

I am not a supporter of the present regime of 'take the child into care' policy, but the prevailing liberal PC attitude towards child welfare is biased towards the 'family' environment rather than the prime directive of the 'children's welfare comes first'.
