How can people argue against racism but...?

How can people argue against racism but still be intolerant of other cultures and groups?
And especially, how can people say that other people are racist towards them and it's wrong, but then turn around again and say it's wrong for gays to be married?
Months ago, there was a black woman on television and she was on a talk show. She had discussed beforehand about how she feels racism in her life all the time. But THEN, there was this one show, and I will never forget it because I was so angry, she turned around and said, it is wrong for gay people to get married. Someone asked her why and she said, I just believe it's wrong. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman, it says so in the Bible and that's what I was raised as believing, so that's what I believe.
To which my response was....Weren't those the same reasons racist people had for not allowing blacks and whites to marry not too many years ago? Weren't those the same exact gosh dang reasons???

So I guess what I'm saying is how can people not think it's fair to have others be racist against them, but they can pass judgment so quickly and easily onto another? Wouldn't you think if a person experienced being discriminated against that they would be the first people in line to help ensure others don't go through the same thing?
Putting the bible itself aside, one of the big reasons for not allowing interracial marriages back in the day was that god thought it was wrong.

Also, no gays haven't been subject to slavery. But the people alive dealing with racism today haven't been subject to slavery either, so I don't know where that comes in.
And yes, gays have and are still subject to segregation.
Agnostic- I realize that there are many reasons why people don't believe in gay marriage.
There are also many people who don't like others of a different race. What people are asking for is to be treated with dignity, respect, and the same rights even if you don't like their race in particular.
So my point is, how can people ask for that treatment of themselves and not give it to everyone??

And I'm sorry but your link didn't work. I'll try it again, maybe YA is having problems with the linkage.
