lol biology class im guessing? hahaa
ok here goes.
a mutation in a gene can make a big difference. if one of the nitrogenous bases (adenine, guanine, etc.) is switched, deleted, added, or moved, the whole dna sequence can be thrown out of whack. the RNA will send the wrong message to the various places proteins are made. if the normal sequence for an amino acid was AGT and the T is switched for a C, a whole new amino acid could be created. this could overall affect the protein.
