How can i work in the environment and nature?

Hi, i am not exactly sure what i want to do yet, but i know i want to work with the environment and nature, my idea is to get as much voluntary work as possible until i have enough experience to get some sort of assistant warden's job and work my way up from there. The problem is that i left school when i was 16 and have no a levels or a degree, i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of problems that will cause me in this world, and what opportunities are out there for some one like me? i am also willing to learn or go to college once my foot is the the door, i am only 20 now, some advice would very helpfull thanks
