how can i update a computer system that doesn't allow my kids to go to bad sites as in

sex ,porn.and games? i just want to be sure that they wont see bad sites cause when i was looking at the internet history i found alot of porn sites that were visited offtenly and so totaly games they are so addicted to games like they would stay up all night playing games and that is really making me worried so please help me !!!!!!
