How can I unlock my nokia 6120 classic?

I cleverly set my phone to "lock when SIM changed" a long time ago. Now I want to change networks but because it was so long ago that I set the pin, (not so cleverly) I can't remember what it is.
Any help?
I have bought another phone but I am on holiday in Manila and I want to use the spare phone to save swapping SIMs all the time. I can actually get it unlocked here for 300p so obviously it can be done, but when I Google the subject I get nothing but results that say it can't be done. Does anyone else besides the guy at the phone shop here know how to do it?
