I don't remember how I did it before Front Page! Now I want to start a blog, I've registered my domain and its live as an add-on domain to one that I write with Front Page. I wrote a short "I'll be here soon" file in html, but can't manage to get it from Wordpad or Word to an .htm file. It keeps calling itself "web page file" and when I upload it, I can open it (cached in my computer) but no one else gets it at all. I know it's because it's not a real htm. file. Yoiks What am I missing here?
Thanks, Allan, I'm not a neophyte, and know I need an index.htm, and I know how to write html. Just couldn't get it from Wordpad to change into html. It wanted to turn into Web File and open in Explorer after I changed it. My host recommends Wordpress too, so I'll be trying that.
ONE MORE QUESTION:
Now that I have it working, the index will only come up of I type in the .htm at the end of the url. Any way I can clean that up?
