You need to find a set up out of a ThunderBird, Turbo Mustang or a Merkur.
Do not get one from the early carburetor models.
These are direct bolt ons and no other engine modifications are needed provided you don't go too wild on the boost. A inter cooler up grade is mandatory. Also bigger injectors. Seen a few fried using higher boost with stock injectors.
The ideal set up uses the Merkur ECM and other engine controls. The cams are different for a turbo also. The turbo cam was a low end torque cam so to speak.
If you don't have a roller valve train swap yours out for one.

Also go the the libary and try to find a copy of the article done many years ago on how to get 500 HP out of US made I4 engines. It may take a while to find. I lost my copy years ago. So I can not even remember what rag had it in it.
A modification of a Volvo head can give you a 16 valve head and there are articles on this on the internet as well as those that sell the kits to change over to this set up.
