how can I transfer things that are on a cassette tape to a "C D"?

I have some old cassettes that I can no longer use due to the "C D" Players everywhere.
 
You can use your computer. Most sound cards have a line-in jack, plug your cassette players speaker output to this and download some recording software. It will most likely save them to MP3 format, then burn them to CD.
