how can i track my stolen tmobile g1?

I was at my friends house last night and I was only in her bathroom and her backyard. and all of a sudden my phone (TMOBILE G1) disappears :( now anyone who is a technology geek like me knows how important a smart phone is, and when you lose it, its so much more heartbreaking.

now my question is: Is there a way to track a smart phone?

the way i see it is, yeah theres gotta be a way. its literally a little robot.

also if someone responds and asks if i had any tracking apps on it.. no i did not :( i had some but when i did a factory reset buh bye apps.
 
i have verizon wireless and i know they have family trackers which is like a GPS in your phone so your parents or whoever knows where you are, but i dunno about tmobile, you could check their website, i'd assume they'd have a family tracker
