How can I tell what sound system my 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon has?

I am trying to figure out if my 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon has the standard system or the premium Bose upgrade. Do the head units look different? Is there an amplifier mounted somewhere with the Bose system that isn't installed with the standard one? Can I look up the VIN or something? Thanks!
