how can i tell the difference between a male and a female platy fish?

For all livebearer(i.e. guppies, mollies, platys) Males and females have different anal fins. The female has the normal fin that you would see on most fish but the male has a modified one called the gonopodium which helps in the transfer of sperm into the female. You will most likely be able to tell the difference when you have both sexes present.
 
i bought 2 platy fish today but i cant tell which one is a female or a male can someone please give me some advice ..thx =)
 
The anal fin on the male is apparently fused to its body as it's used for fertilisation. Having said that, I have some and I think it's pretty hard to tell the difference!
