HOW CAN I STOP THE MEDIA!?!!?

I have written, I have complained and protested but still no justice has been done. Adverts such as, for smoking have been banned in the past due to the health risk it carries and I strongly feel that adverts which promote alcohol should also be banned as for example did you know that 8% of the population are alcoholics? Can you imagine what it must feel to have the persuasion of alcohol taunted in your face everywhere you go? Did you know that 73% of felonies are alcohol related, or that 72% of stabbings are from people under the influence of alcohol? And perhaps the most shocking statistic that 67% of child beatings are from drunken parents? Alcohol causes far worse problems than smoking and many people are oblivious to the shocking damage it is causing to our society. For these reasons I am campaigning to make a stop to the promotion of this abusive substance once and for all.
K: yes, I know there are good aspects of alcohol. I am trying to ban the promotion of it in peoples faces though
Khayos: Exactly. freedom of speech. So why are you telling me not to voice my opinion? And I'm not making my problem everyone elses. I'm not even tempted by alcohol, I'm 16. Im campaigning for the rest of the people of society who have to deal with this.

I feel that 67% of us want to stop the media...The thing is, It may just never stop. All you really can do (And this may be the most powerful protest of all) Is either A.Pray, or B.(If you are not a christain) Turn off your Tv, Radio, Give both of them to charrity and every kid you meet, try to save them from a horrible future

Why dont you stop us all breathing, then perhaps you will be happy. It is people like you, (but hey.. you are only a child ) who are always moaning about something or other. I am over eighty, and love a cigarette, and on occasions I have a small Brandy(if I have any ) and guess what this is supposed to be a free Country, but you seem to like asking for rules which do not apply to all and sundry. There is very little left in this Country to get happy about , and when you reach my age and there are a few of us, you have less freedom, but now you are asking for more Rules to be imposed on Society.Well as Rules go this is a non-starter.It is time you started to grow up, and when you do... come back and then tell us how you feel... you know when, and if you even reach sixty.

You have a point, you don't see advertisements for heroin, do you?

To add to that, I'm an alcoholic who stopped drinking nine years ago. I would never suggest that other people shouldn't enjoy a drink, just because I'M a knobhead with the stuff.
It is, however, a very addictive drug. So there is a good argument for not advertising it. It would still be there if you wanted it. Just like heroin.
