I recently bought a 3gs iPhone. I setup my Yahoo mail account with no problems. My problem is that the phone has stored my password and I don't want to leave my mail so it can be immediately accessed when anyone who picks up my phone clicks on the mail icon.
I went to settings and deleted the account completely thinking this would solve the problem, however I've realised that to get back into my account all anyone needs to do is enter my email address and enter at least one random character in the password area and click save. Once this is done the system - not sure if it's Apple or Yahoo - says it's verifying the account information then approves it and opens my account.
The only way I can think of preventing this is to set up a lock so that everytime the phone goes into sleep mode I'd have to key in a pin. Surely there must be a way to completely delete the email password from the phone?
