how can i stop being a bitch to them and get my dance teacher to be nicer to them?

ok well its not a school group it has nothing to do with school but i have known him since i was 3 years old as hes my brothers bets mate and everyone in the class thinks hes hot and they seem to get so annoyed when hes talking to me about times he has been round my house and something funny as happened my friends say i should stop flirting with him but i am not flirting in the slightest. also he sometimes has a go at me if i do something inappropriate for example we where just arguing in a friendly way and i accidentally said **** of so he put me in time out and the evils i got was terrible . i also feel really guilty as im a awful dancer but i love to dance but i always seem to get moves wrong and i worry my teacher is going to get peeved at me also i seem to find hes treating me like im 5 last week he was looking after me (all my family where out over night )and my mom only trust him but anyways he made me go to bed at like 9 now i think that's harsh and he asks me constantly all the time if im ok :S HM what can i do to make up to my friends?
