I got the same problem. Here's what I'm trying to do. Her friends are kinda my friends, so I will try to connect to her through them. Maybe get them to say nice things or to plan something.

Second thing is to just make her notice you. If you see her in the hall, smile and make eye contact. Hopefully she will notice and smile back. If not, trying and start an easy convo. Maybe just a question asking the time or complementing her. Anything to get her to notice you, and you can gradually rise to talk more and more and get her number, etc.
