How can I sprint/run faster in football?

I'm a freshman in high school and i'm looking to improve my speed in the 40 yard dash as well as run faster in football. I can squat 315 pounds so theoretically my legs are really strong but I can't seem to run fast. During football conditioning during the summer I ran a 5.6 40 BEFORE practice and about 6 months later I ran a 5.5 AFTER practice. What should I do to improve my times even further? And which speeds should I aim for if I want to play one of the following positions? And what should I aim for on my core lifts (squat, bench, clean)?
