how can i spray paint a car?

i no maaco does it for 200-250 with horrible outcomes n spray paint wont be ne better but im a hands on person with cars n like to do my own work. im very good with spray paint, ive done alot of work n have a steady hand but i have never done something like this. i was gonna use duplicolor metal specks burnt copper. also i know to clear coats and primer, and use sand paper 120ish to remove the paint and 600+ after primer. maybe if ne one has used this duplicolor paint before they can give me advice on how it sticks or if my method of prep is wrong any advice will help.
 
As long as you prep the car correctly... sand out any flaws....use a wax remover so the paint wil stick, work slowly one area at a time, don't try to do the whole car at once, do a fender, than a door Etc. you should be fine
