I just bought a cable that connects on one end to my keyboard through midi in/out, and on the other end to my computer through usb. The connection itself is fine, I can get notes to show up in Finale and everything. The problem is that there is at least a half second delay between when I hit the key, and when Finale makes the sound. I already tried messing with the latency, but no matter what number I put in there, it doesn't seem to have any effect. Is there any other way that I can calibrate my keyboard?
