How can I slow cook plain chicken thighs?

I want to slow cook chicken thighs for a chicken pizza i am making tonight. I like how the chicken just pulls away from the bone, and dont want any seasoning on it while it cooks (ill do that later). Does anyone know if you can cook it plain? How much water should be in there for 4 chicken thighs?
 
If you're making them for a pizza add a little oil to it and then crockpot for appx 8 hours
