How Can I ship my fish?

I am going to college in a different state than I live. I have a beta fish named Azul who is really beautiful, active, and I just love him. I have to move out in like 2 weeks and I do not know what to do. I usually take a plane when I fly home. Can I bring him on the plane with me in a container? Can I ship him? How do I get my fish to go to a different state? I DO NOT want him to die :( I really love him. Does anyone have any advice, can anyone help me??? Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you!
 
contact the carrier... they may allow a fish on board, but the liquids ban might be a problem.

Also, believe it or not, you can actually mail fish if you package them correctly. Talk to a pet store about it, and they can probably help you out.
