How can i see the chat history on facebook?

how can i see the entire history between me and my friend and save it in a txt file? cuz the thing that is in the chat box is only like 1/4 of the whole convo and i need the entire convo starting from the first day i added the friend

maybe try contacting facebook? I'm pretty sure they have it somewhere.
