How can I see if the coil is getting power in a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix.?

My father's Pontiac Grand Prix has been having some problems and after inspecting the spark plugs it seems that some of them are not firing.

He now wants to check and see if the respective coils are not receiving power. He however does not know how to.

So if anyone can give me good directions on how to see if they are receiving power.
