outdoor storage shed. ? As I was putting away some Christmas decorations in my outdoor storage shed, I noticed about 4 very small honeycomb hives on the roof of the shed. What is the best way to get rid of these. Is there any danger of getting stung? I have walked past these hives several times but haven't heard any buzzing.

Depending on your zone/ if its cold weather you can just knock them down, they are dead. If its a warmer climate, you should wait until darkness sets in, as they are less active, and knock down the hives.

if ti is a paper nest it is something you most likely don't want there anyway. if it is cold where you are just knock them down if they are more than a inch or two wait till it is a really cold day. if it is warm where you are and you see bees/wasps going in and out get wasp and hornet spray don't be cheap and spray it real good.
if it is a honey be colony which i doubt it is it will be made from way yellow or brown depending on the age call a local bee keeper to come remove it

get some raid spray or some crap bug spray for killing hives and wasps and bees and crap holla

It doesn't seem to be the best way to get rid of the bees but while I was on the net I read that you can just spray the hive with the garden hose...
