How can i record video games from the tv and put it on my computer?

What would be the cheapest and highest quality way to record video games from my tv and put them onto a computer? I dont have a ps3 so simply downloading software is out of the question. i want a universal way to record from the tv whether it be NES, SNES, Playstation, gamecube, xbox or nintendo 64 games. i was wondering if i could burn it onto a dvd and then rip it on the computer. that would have decent quality, I imagine. If so where could i find the equipment needed and how much would it cost? I have a tight budget so keep that in mind when giving me advice.
