how can I record straming TV off the internet for free( with audio) ?

i;m trying to record foreign language tv off the internet to work ok, but can;t find anything that seems to work on capturing the audio from the speaker output, as opposed to using a microphone on my laptop, can anyone suggest a free program that will let me do this??
