Currently, my HDTV is connected to the DISH receiver via a HDMI cable. And I connected the DVR directly to the satellite receiver via AV IN and to the TV via AV OUT. This setup worked but it does not record in HD quality.
Instead I want the DVR to be connected directly to the TV so it will record whatever is being viewed without connecting it to the satellite receiver.
The TV has a VHF/UHF INPUT jack so I don't think it will work as an output to the DVR.
So, is there a way to connect the DVR to the satellite receiver via VHF/UHF?
If so can I still connect the TV via HDMI simultaneously?
And will the DVR record the HD quality picture being viewed?
