How can I provide a perfectly safe indoors environment for a cat?

Don't leave full cups or open bottles out over night where kitty can get to them. They will be spilled. And don't leave rubber bands around.
Good luck

Just make sure there are no small escape holes, and provide a littler box, food and toys. Its very easy to care for a cat.

Make sure you close and open the doors carefully, so nobody escapes. Don't leave outside doors open. Make sure the window screens are intact, just so kitty can't escape if the window is open. Be careful with house plants, as some can be poisonous for cats. Give them toys and scratching posts, food, water, and a box, a comfy kitty bed, and they should be happy. Good luck!

Cats will be safe in any ordinary home, they are pretty strong, athletic and intelligent. Don't leave things like washing machine and tumble dryer doors open, be careful what sort of cleaning products you use, like carpet freshener, but apart from that everything should be fine:)

If you are planning to have an indoor cat, make sure it's a kitten or if it's an adult, that it has always lived as an indoor cat, otherwise if he's been used to going out before, he might go a bit mad:)
