...I'm riding it? When I'm pedaling my bike and my jeans rub up against the sprocket (is that what it's called?) I get oil stains on my pants. In plain English, how can I prevent this? I know nothing about taking apart a bicycle (or what the parts are called), if that's what it requires.
 
you could go to your local bike shop and ask for a chain ring guard that will work i been where you are had the same problem and fix it that way or you could wear shorts when you ride that will stop it too
