I want to play my iphone without having to buy a new stereo is this possible? What do I need?

get a cable that connects your ipod to the stereo. its the auxiliary port. so you want an auxiliary cable/cord.
go to your local electronics store like radioshack or something and ask around.

if your car radio has an auxiliary port you can get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo extension cable to connect the iphone to your car radio. If your car radio does not have an auxiliary port but it has a cassette deck built in then you may get a cassette adaptor to connect the iphone to the car radio.
The third option if your car radio does not have either an auxiliary port or a cassette deck is to get an ipod/iphone FM transmitter adaptor. But these are quite expensive.
