How can I pass a AP U.S. History exam?

I have an AP U.S. History class and ever since the first day, I haven't been able to pass any tests. She always gave us tests on American Pageant Edition 12 for 2 chapters. (1&2, 3&4, etc)The 1st test I got a 46% and then on the 2nd test I got a 56%. Then when she gave us a test on just one chater and I passed with a 70%, which is passing. Now we are going to have a 2 chpt. test again and I am worried about failing. Plus, my study buddy dumped me and she taught U.S. History for 10 yrs.

What are some general test taking tips that I can use, and then what are some studying tips I can use?

Do you know any good study sites I can go to exclusively for U.s History?

Sorry this might not be very much help but get like 90's mainly because I take loads of notes when its being discussed in class.
