How can I oppose the building of a new Synagogue without appearing anti-Semitic?

The local Jewish community bought the plot of land next to my house to build their Synagogue. The plans call for a tall, magnificent building, but this will throw shade on my yard, where people like to sit in the sun and picnic. Also, it will kill my flower garden, which is my pride and joy. I went to see the heads of the Jewish committee. They suggested that I was anti-Semitic and said they would tell this to everyone if I opposed their building permit at city hall. What should I do?
