I'm not sure about your car, but some cars have an emergency fuel door switch in the trunk.
 
...work? When you push down on the mechanism to open the fuel door it just sticks. It will still work when you pull up to open the trunk. Is there an emergency release somewhere for the fuel door, or will I need to pry it open? Please Help!
 
There is no emergency switch, try a butter knife or something with a thin blade to insert between the door and body panel where the latch is to see if you can jimmy it open to expose the cable for repair, it might help to push on the fuel door to release some of the tention.
