How can I open a .SWF flash media player file that is saved on my computor?

I have an interactive .SWF file (its an educational animation, so i have roll my curser over an image and it gives me a definition) saved on my computor but when i play it, the animation looses all its interactive abilities. when it was opened on the internet, all the functions were there, but i dont have the link anymore.

Is there any way i can play it so that i can still do all the interactive stuff. Is there an internet website where i can upload interactive flash files?
