How can I open a 2003 .swf file in a 2003 .pps file with powerpoint 2007?

I have a 2003 .pps brain teaser with an .swf file embedded in it. I have PowerPoint 2007 and I could not be able to use the controls for the .swf. Any suggestions on what I should do?
