...through a friend? I'm 18 and have never had a relationship. I am pretty shy, but want to meet guys--for a relationship or just friendship, since I've never had guy friends. However, I don't have a group of friends where I'm living. If I go out on my own to concerts, or just downtown for the day, is it possible for me to meet any guys (or girls for that matter)? How have you made friends not through other friends and been able to trust them?
Nothing bad has happened to me, but I think my mom has made me too suspicious of men I don't know. Ideas of how I can get over this? What are reasonable boundaries? Would you (girls, especially) trust a guy who you randomly meet?
btw, I wouldn't mind a guy who wants to have sex, but do not want to leap into that. (That's part of my fear...)
