How can I mate my Betta fish?

I have a crown tail betta, and I'm going to get another betta later today. Should I get the same type of Betta? I want to be ready before I buy the betta. How would I take care of the fry? Please answer(:

ok so one bettas will fight so first wat u would want to do is
get another tank and put the tanks infront of each other than put a lid on each one
because the will jump out
when u start to notice a lot of bubble thts means there aabout ready to mate but be carfull
it could mean tht or it can mean tht they wannna fight@!
the fry will be very hard i say just go from getting them to mate than post ttht question!
