How can i make the water in my tank better quality for my fish?

One of my fish has fine/tail rot and they told me it was poor water quality what can i do?
 
Your problem is you have Koi in a fish tank. Unless this is an over-filtered 150-200g overwintering your juvenile fish before they go back in the pond in a few months time, you're overstocked and no amount of water changes is really going to resolve the problem.

What size tank do you have and what filtration is running on it?
