How can I make precision grooves without a milling machine?

I need to make 0.05-mm-wide grooves in the sides of nylon hex standoffs, ~2" long. The depth is not critical but perhaps 0.5 mm. I don't want to spend a fortune on a milling machine that I might not use again.
